September, 22, 2009 Moscow hosted the first Patterns & Practices Summit Russia.

Number of participants: 155 key professionals from the leading Russian companies and largest Russian banks. Event attracted a great interest among the Russian IT market. The registration was closed almost a month prior to the event, and over 150 people remained on the waiting list.

Keynote speakers: Dmitry Khalin, Ajoy Krishnamoorty, Don Smith, Grigori Melnik, Dmitry Sotnikov, Dmitry Martynov.

Moderator: Mikhail Matveev.

Main topics: Application Architecture, Modern Data Access, Enterprise Library 5.0, Cloud Computing, Agile.

  2. Panel discussion Computing in Cloud or "Beyond the Clouds" Computing? Is Cloud Computing topic actual in Russia? (Dmitry Sotnikov (Quest Software), Dmitry Ivanov (Wild Apricot), Vladimir Strelnikov (parking.ru), Evgeny Kobzev (SKB Kontur)). Moderator – Dmitry Martynov. The authors of the three best questions got prizes.
  3. How to create a Motivated Team workshop by Konstantin Kondratiouk
  4. ALM VisualStudio 2010 = new ALM (Experience, Process Management, Quality Assurance) workshop by Dmitry Andreev

All presentations, panel discussions and workshops were highly appreciated by the participants. Videos and presentations will be published at conference web-site soon.

Atmosphere and spirit of the event: All materials were designed in blue and white colors and two hostesses helped participants during the conference.
It provoked a lot of jokes from the moderator and speakers about being onboard the plane.
